We support you and are here to help

Welcome

We are California Healthy Workplace Advocates, a 100% volunteer citizen-lobbying group with NO dues or fees required. We are committed to fighting against bullying and harassment at work, as well as workplace abuse, and we encourage everyone to fu bully these issues. Established in 2004, we are now a tax-free 501(c)(3) corporation, allowing you to donate to us free of income tax.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission of California Healthy Workplace Advocates is to raise public awareness and compel our State to correct and prevent ABUSIVE WORK ENVIRONMENTS through legislation, aiming to end bullying and harassment at work. It is crucial to note that going to work should NOT hurt, and we now understand that bullying, or fu bully behavior, not only has mental effects on the targeted person but can also lead to some long-term physical effects.

Now There Are Many Ways To Join Our Cause

Now you can choose how to support our cause against workplace bullying, or as we like to say, fu bully. You can be active as a member, which requires no cost other than your time donation. Alternatively, you can donate money and enjoy the benefit of deducting that amount from your taxes as a donation. Any in-kind donation is also a tax-free deduction for us. If you are considering making a large donation, we encourage you to consult with your tax advisor first, as we want to ensure that no one with good intentions is penalized for their generosity.

Why The Change in Organization Structure

Due to our ongoing advocacy against bullying in the workplace, we found that organizations frequently request training materials. Creating these resources, like guide books and PowerPoint presentations, requires significant time and financial investment. As a result, we recognized the need to formally organize our efforts. For our members, there will be no noticeable changes; however, you can now deduct your contributions to us as a tax-exempt charity. If you wish to support our advocacy against bullying in the workplace and help us fu bully, all donations will be directed towards enhancing our initiatives. Please donate here:

Our Website is Designed to Educate The User on the General Knowledge of Bullying in the Workplace

According to our mission statement, our first charge is to educate the public on bullying in the workplace, often referred to as fu bully, and the major issues it causes to the targeted person, including mental health injuries and physical health issues. Additionally, we provide tips to help you avoid these problems that lead to mental health injuries, as some physical issues may not manifest until decades later.

How We Can Fight This Together. We Need Volunteers

Let's End Bullying and Abusive Behavior Together

We are a diverse group of individuals who have experienced bullying, including those who have been bullied, former union stewards advocating against this behavior, and professionals such as psychologists, lawyers, nurses, doctors, and accountants. We have all become advocates for change. As the old union saying goes, "There is strength in numbers." Therefore, we are seeking volunteers to support our campaign aimed at getting new laws passed in the legislature to address bullying and abusive behaviors, which are still legal in California.

As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization, we are committed to driving social change for those who have faced workplace bullying and harassment. Our mission is to advocate for laws that will correct and prevent bullying and harassment in the workplace, and we invite you to join us in any capacity you can.

Email us to be added to our private email list, where we announce all our activities. Currently, there is NO LAW prohibiting "status blind" harassment, including workplace bullying. We aim to transform our pain into meaningful action by advocating for a law in California—and across the United States—that addresses workplace bullying, similar to existing sexual harassment laws, which currently only prohibit workplace abuse in government offices. In California, workplace bullying remains legal in both public and private sectors.

One way to get involved is by joining our group as a member, donating your time, and attending our monthly meetings to learn more about the issue of bullying in the workplace and to advocate alongside us as an informed supporter.

Additionally, you can donate money tax-free to our registered charity. All contributions, whether monetary or in-kind, are greatly appreciated.

You can also choose a combination of both options to support our cause against workplace bullying.

Proclamation

Bullying is a systematic campaign of interpersonal destruction that jeopardizes your health, your career, the job you once loved.

Bullying is a non-physical, non-homicidal form of violence. Because it is abusive it causes both emotional and stress-related physical harm.

Freedom from Bullies Week is a chance to break through the shame and silence surrounding bullying. It is a week to be daring and bold.

The power of workplace bullying is its ability to stay hidden in plain view. Make every workplace safe and take a stand against workplace bullying!

Dr. Namie Freedom from Workplace Bullies
